my monthly faves: december edition

haaaaappy new year my friends!! i’m off instagram this month, but still wanted to share all my favorite things from last month…which is basically a list of everything i got for Christmas 😂 🫶 plus a book & show i’m loving!

1 / large dutch oven

i’ve had (& loved) this cast iron for years, but then i got this new dutch oven for christmas, & it’s truly a game changer! i usually double or triple any recipe to make enough for leftovers, friends, etc, so the 7.6qt capacity makes it so. much. easier! like truly OBSESSED with the size. if you have a big fam, or you also double all your recipes…this is itttt. IT’S $150 OFF RN TOO 👏

2 / aesop tacit perfume

aesop…has my heart. if you haven’t been to one of their storefronts, 10/10 recommend because it’s like a spa experience. my SIL discovered this perfume & got me hooked as well. i honestly can’t even describe the scent so just go smell it for yourself lol the site says “Yuzu, Vetiver Heart and Basil” but all i know is it has me under a spell 😂 some other Aesop faves: geranium body scrub, citrus rind body balm, resurrection hand balm & hand wash!

3 / free people osaka jeans

these are the jeans version of the FP timko sweatpants i love. the buttons in the front are so cute, & they’re comfyyyy cozy but flattering!

4 / young sheldon on netflix

kyle & i aren’t huge tv or movie people, but every once in a while i get the bug. lately i’ve been watching young sheldon on netflix! it’s a big bang theory spinoff that follows sheldon cooper in his childhood, & it’s such a good feel-good, funny show 🥰 i’ve never seen a single big bang episode either so that’s not a pre-requisite 👍

5 / corduroy birkenstocks

new fave shoes right here. i bought them for myself & loved them so much that i bought kyle a pair too lol they’re sooo comfortable & easy to slip on when you’re running out the door! plus the corduroy texture is 💯 currently they’re $50 off too (!!!)

6 / until the street lights come on book

the best book i’ve read lately! it’s by the creator of the 1,000 hours outside movement. the tagline of this book is “how a return to play brightens our present and prepares kids for an uncertain future,” & i feel like it encompasses lots of the parenting rhythms & choices i’ve been drawn to lately. it’s a great book to listen to on audible as you do chores around the house.

7 / h&m kids socks

i grabbed a set of these for Foster & Ziggy because they were needing some new socks! they’re so cuteee. love the retro vibe.

8 / mineral baths

i recently got my minerals tested by my pal/holistic health coach audrey via a HTMA hair test. the results were SO insightful. basically i’m just hella depleted in all my minerals 😜 one of the things she recommended for me/anyone with low minerals (aka most women!) is taking mineral baths! fill your tub with warm water, add 2 cups dead sea salt, 1 cup epsom salt & 1/2 cup of baking soda, & soak for 20-30+ minutes to help restore your body’s natural mineral store ✨ i’ve been taking a mineral bath almost every night!

9 / jacobsen mini salt tins

how cuuuute is this mini salt tin?! i got it in my stocking & it was one of my fave gifts 😂 i keep it in my purse & have used it out & about so many times!

10 / h&m striped oversized sweater

stripes are in & i’m here for it. this sweater is so freaking soft & perfect for a night in, but also nice enough to wear out to dinner or an event! i sized up (duh)

k that’s it! i’m off instagram for my annual break during the whole month of january, so the best place to get updates while i’m gone is here & by signing up for my newsletter 😘
