2023 holiday gift guide: for babies

the sweetest of all gift guides…for the littlest ones 🥹 (& their parents, too!)

i’m going to be honest & say i don’t believe in gifting too many gifts to kids newborn to one lol they just simply don’t know what’s going on 😂 when foster was 10 months old 2 christmases ago, i bought her * maybe * two presents. they’re just so little & don’t need much!!! this year i will probably only get Ziggy (our 6 month old) one or two things. so anyways, i keep it really simple with our young kids however if you need inspo for your own baby or someone else’s, here are 15 cute & practical things we personally own & love 🎀

1 / balance bike

is there anything better than a tiny kid on a tiny bike?! 🥹 i was gifted one of these for Foster’s first birthday & it’s a hit around the house so now it’s my go to gift for almost one year olds. i love that this one is a tricycle, so super easy for them to balance & learn the ropes of bike riding. incredibly easy to put together too 👍

2 / hatch portable sound machine

the real MVP is anything that helps the babies sleep lol this sound machine is so easy to clip to a carseat or stroller for on-the-go naps! cute colors, tons of sound options, & the charge lasts a long time.

3 / wood coffee maker

for the ones who are as coffee obsessed as their parents (or maybe it’s just my kid hahaha) ☕️ this simple wooden set is sooo cute & helps them feel included without the mess of coffee grounds 😜

4 / lovevery play kit

i am a lovevery loyalist (!!!) their toys are minimal, intentional, & so fun! Foster is obsessed with many of their play kits, & now i love pulling them back out for Ziggy too. they create play kits with bundles of toys to help their age appropriate development w/instructions on how to use the activities & why!

5 / wildbird carrier

this has been my favorite carrier to use with Ziggy!!! perfect for your friend who just had a baby (or is pregnant). wildbird carriers are truly SO comfortable, easy to put on, & magic for helping infants take a looong contact nap. the little flap can be folded in as extra head support or folded up as a sun shade, & theres a little slot/pocket on the band to slip your phone into.

6 / bath toy set

these are a hit for all ages! & so so cute.

7 / WOODEN SHOPPING CART

this will be one of the girls’ gifts this year! i have found that any type of baby stroller/cart situation is a hit with both boys & girls this age. i think it will double as a good support when Ziggy starts taking steps too. it’s on sale right now 🏃‍♀️

8 / teething ring

how precious is this teething ring?? ziggy loves it. hot tip: stick this in the freezer first, & give your sweet teething babe some relief. such cute colors & the silicone part pops off from the wooden ring & can be washed in the dishwasher! we also love these teethers - i’ve been putting frozen bananas & strawberries in them & it keeps her happy on car rides. you can do breast milk too!

9 / to light their way book

this book is an oh-so-thoughtful gift to wrap up for parents-to-be or new parents. it’s full of sweet prayers to pray over your children & yourself. some generic some for specific things (a sick day, sleepless night, etc) the perfect gift to counteract all the stressful advice & *stuff* that they’ll receive. another meaningful gift for parents are these personalized rings! i have one with each of my daughters first name initial on them & cherish them so!

10 / flower pop-it

my babies start loving pop-its around 6 months & this one is sooo darling. love this paint palette one too! i’ve gifted that one a couple times to little boys 🎨

11 / FIRST WORDS BOOK

most adorableeee first words & colors book 😍 i also love this author’s black & white book! before baby’s eyesight is fully developed, these contrast books are so great to have around! easy to toss into a diaper bag.

12 / sweater romper

the CUTEST baby romper for christmas day (or anyyyy fall/winter day)! amazing quality at a great price 🙌

13 / softest modal pjs

how cute would it be to get these matching pjs for all the kids in your house on christmas eve?! we have these in a few colors & love ‘em ☁️

14 / wildbird sleep sack

sleep sacks can work some MAGIC for getting babies to sleep hard, and this sleep sack is the best of the best (& so cute!). the TOG scale will help you determine how to dress baby in different temperatures.

15 / NUNA ROTATING CAR SEAT

i’m a big fan of removable, infant car seats until babies are 8-9 months. i love being able to keep them in it for Target runs, restaurants, etc! but once they start sitting up & can go in a cart seat or high chair, i switch them over to a convertible car seat because they seem to like them better! & most infant car seats only fit your baby until they’re about a year old. i have tried a bunch of convertible car seats & this one is THE BEST. hear me out - it is an absolute splurge. so this would be a good gift to register for or put on your Christmas list to be gifted by multiple people! besides it being cute, the rotating feature is absolutely incredible & worth the money in my opinion. it rotates to the front AND back without having to re-install anything!!! comes with 2 cup holders for each side, & is so easy to buckle them in & out of. i have the Hazelwood color for both girls but i really love this Nordstrom exclusive color too 👌

stay tuned for the next gift guide—for the toddlers 1-3!!!! 🫶
